They were both on Kids Inc. in the 80's and Fergie from Black Eyed Peas sang backup on the song with Jennifer Love-Hewitt. I wondered if Martika had written the song about Fergie's meth/crack addiction.
I haven't heard this. When the song came out (in 1989) I remember it being about a friend of Martika's. It would be surprising if it was Stacy Ferguson (Fergie) because she would have been in early teens. But I guess anything is possible. It's a really great song .. great message too :o)
Music video about a girl who becomes addicted to crystal meth.
I am doing a class project where I need to have 9 Songs that relate to Crystal Meth, or the book Crank. I am out of songs to use.
At the moment I have the following songs.
The Drugs Don't work.
Drugs or Me
So if you know of any songs that have to do with drug addictions, or Meth in specific, that is High School appropriate I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

There’s something about not sleeping for a long time. There are moments that I’m sitting here and I feel like i’m drifting. It literally feels like my chair rolling down a hill and the wind is blowing through my hair. Then I realize its just me spinning in my chair, and the fan is blowing towards me. And I honestly have no idea why I torture myself by staying up for *cough*62hours*cough* but I just do. It begins with pulling an all-nighter, and then ending up working two days in a row, and then having a sleepover the same night. It’s insane. And then I come home to realize I have 9 million chores, plus its fourth of July, and who honestly goes to bed early on fourth of July?
Right now I’m sitting here, writing blog and listening to the fireworks outside in the distance. They’re kind of unnerving because I always think theyre explosions or gunshots coming towards me. But maybe that’s just because I’m tired, and slightly paranoid at the moment. When I’m VERY tired I begin to act very loopy. I don’t know why that is, because most normal people would just go to sleep and not waste more time being awake.
