Meth/Crystal addiction and battling depression
'Overcoming Crystal Meth Addiction: An Essential Guide' by Steven James Lee is a good one.
Also, 'Crystal Meth: They Call it Ice' by Mary Holley.
I've started a monster. It's ALL YOUR FAULT BILLY CORGAN!!!!
I am a children's social worker in Orange County California and the great majority of my clients are drug addicts...mostly meth. Basically, we came in and were forced to remove their children from their care in order to protect the children. Their meth addiction led to a horrible deterioration of their lives, placing their kids at great risk.
About 90% of my clients are parents who must overcome their addiction and stay clean from drugs in order reunify with their children.
Do you have any tips in order to say clean?
Also, with meth, are there ways to detect meth use, other than formication (speed bumps), rapid speech, positive drug tests and decaying teeth?
Im also intersted in any random and informative info on meth that you might have to offer.
Thanks.
I've never met a meth addict that there was any real hope for. Once hooked, they are lost.
They will lie to you... they'll promise anything... they'll tell you what you want to hear... but the minute you turn your back, they are right back with their friends... snorting.. shooting... smoking their life away, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
Take their children, and place them in foster care. You can't save the parents... all you can hope is to save the children.
I'm from Carson City, Nevada and I would like to know if I could find a drug treatment center here. My son Ethan has finally agreed to attend a treatment program to overcome his crystal meth addiction. He experienced the negative effects of the drugs to his body and he realized that there's still hope for a better life. I'm so happy that he's taking this step into changing his life for good. Please help us find a drug rehab. I want to have the old Ethan back.
It's nice that your son finally realized how precious his life is. Using drugs has never been the solution to any problem for it makes everything worse. I'll include some sites where you can locate different drug rehabilitation centers. There's so many to choose from and I'm sure you'll find one that will work best for Ethan. Good luck to your son's recovery!
Addictions bOvercome/b: Fact About Crystal bMeth Addiction/b
Meth is short for methylamphetamine or methamphetamine. It is also called crystal meth. Its street names are hot ice and tina. Meth is a sympathomimetic and a psychostimulant drug. A few of its isomers, like unmethylated amphetamine, are recommended as medications for hyperkinetic disorder. Methamphetamine, which is a prohibited and an addictive substance, has a direct effect on the nervous system. When administered, meth brings toxins to the body. According to statistical figures, crystal meth is very addictive that around 42% of first timers feel the urge to try it for a second time whereas about 84% of second time users feel the urge to use it repeatedly that it turns into an addiction. Several of the first time users of crystal meth are oblivious of the risky effects the drug may cause to the human body. They only like taking crystal meth because it makes them "feel great." (5) Due to the fact that crystal meth causes the users to stay up for an extended period of time, which...
Topless Robot - Collecting Comics Isn#39;t Just for Nerds Anymore b.../b
One of the more unusual aspects of the enormous meth ring authorities announced they busted yesterday was the alleged conspirators' chosen instrument for cleaning their dirty money: classic comic books. Investigators seized approximately 100 boxes of comics, including first-edition Batmans and Supermans in plastic sheaths to protect their value. As Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said at a news conference about the 41 arrests, "What we are talking about is money laundering -- a means to have something of value that can easily be converted to cash but keeps you from having stashes of cash around." First of all, on behalf of nerds everywhere, I'd like to give a big thank you to meth addicts everywhere for adding a bit of badly needed cool to comic book collecting. Knowing that we could trade some of our Spawn back-issues and swap them for a few rocks instead of getting ripped off at some mercenary comic book store is very soothing. That said, I can't imagine how meth users are...
