I was just wanting to hear stories of people who were once addicted to methamphetamine and found the strength to stay sober. I just am in a situation and any advice will help. (No, I don't do or will ever do meth.) Thanks!
I saw a story teller in the Middletown Road.
Meth is a huge issue in America today. Its easy to make, cheap to use and creates a whole list of problems. Merrell: a meth addicts story of truth ...
I am a therapist that works with mostly addicts so I am attempting to gain as much knowledge on the subject as possible. Feel free to tell your story of meth addiction.
P.S. Im a children's social worker and meth destroys lives.
A person can be hooked the first time meth is used. It is a very addictive drug. I don't use drugs but I work in corrections and see lives devastated every day.
What have you gone through any stories or delucions will you remember them how do you react when on it.
It raises the dopamine level in high uses in some in dividuals, leading to schizophrenic symptoms. My 18 year old cousin died from an OD of meth, and Oxycontin. I've also witness my uncle shooting meth in his hand because his veins are collapsed in his arms. He would pace around my grandma's house, whining like a little kid because of the pain of with drawl. I'd stay away from meth. It ruins peoples lives. There is a reason it is illegal.
Dr. Morel shot up Hitler with a "vitamin" that was nothing but Red and Black meth. That could explain his erratic decisions, like invading Russia.
Been to Tx in and out 4x's since 06, lost sig. relationship of 2yr. Not a week has passed that I've been clean. I have therapist that specializes, a shrink that won't Rx more intense , substantial medications. I'm half dreading leaving hometown to go visit family for a month. I feel as though I've done irreparable damage to every aspect of my being. Any words of wisdom or stories of success would be much appreciated!
i could write forever on this, but i wont!! anyway, im a recovering alcoholic/drug addict. i tried everything to make it work for me (using), but it just didnt and got worse and worse. tx doesnt work if you are not serious about quitting. i know this because it happened to me. people forced me into that crap and i wanted nothing to do with it. the thing is, you CAN repair yourself. its hard. i completely understand the love/hate thing. go to some NA meetings. i could go on and on about the consequences of my using and the things i have lost. but you know what? they come back if u stay clean, and more opportunites arise. feel free to email me anytime, i have been thru the wringer with this stuff.
Until the crystal meth epidemic of the last decade, I think it was largely accepted that heroin was the easiest drug to become hooked on, and the most painful addiction to break. But the horror stories about meth seem comparable to the hold that heroin has on a user. I guess the best people to ask are those who have been addicted to both, assuming a large enough sample of such people have lived long enough to compare them. Isn't it true that both are often addictive after a single use?
They both are pretty addictive. You will mostly find Heroin in places like Portland, Oregan. And I hate to say this (because I hate Meth so bad), but Heroin is more addictive, and more dangerous. Heroin always converts into morphine in your liver, and combined with other drugs it is very lethal.
There is no honor amoung theives, turn in any drug dealer at all costs. If you smell either from a house, and see heavy traffic, they are prob cooking Meth. Turn them in, I don't want the sick and suffering to get their hands on this poison.
