I gained about 35 lbs in 3 weeks after I quit. Its been 9 months and I've been dieting religiously. I know for certain that my metabolism is seriously screwed up. I am worried that it will never be the same. If anyone has personal experiences with this, please share.
I'm sure that you did alot of eating and sleeping during the 3 weeks time after you quit, a recipe for weight gain. You'll definitely get back to normal, I know that you can eat WAY more when you're doing meth and not gain weight. I look back on some of my eating habits when I used to use and marvel at the fact that I wasn't a total fat a$$. Throw in some exercise to manage your problem is what I'd do. I used for 4 years and no permanent affects in that category. I think that your body is just coming back to human metabolism and away from psycho speed metabolism. Plus, I know that you can eat alot in times during meth addiction but then there's those long periods of starvation that balance those out too.
Exercise is what I'd do and you'll definatley re-regulate as well. There's nothing that I'm aware of that could have the possibility of permanentley altering a vital bodily function like your metabolism just because of prior meth use. Neurotransmitter functions are a different story though. Good luck!

i would like to see meth dealers executed right on the street where they live, in public. meth users caught should be forced into labour camps starting at 1year intervals. these camps should be orderly no talking, cursing, coffee ,cigs, just exercise , study, and very intense physical labour, physical beatings and verbal abuse when necessary
anyone can recover if they truely wanted, anyone!
