I am a mother of a 34yr old son who has stopped taking meth but is suffering from depression , and short attention spans. Does anyone have more info for me about what it feels like once you stop? I am clueless about the withdrawal?

I think the best thing for you to do would be to seek professional help for your son. she met this guy who uses and they hit it off now she is an addict herself but won't admit it. i kept her problem to myself up until today when her cousin called me with concern of her behavior i told her cousin everything i know and i feel bad about it but at the same time i feel like her family should know. was it wrong that i said anything or should have i just kept all the information i know to myself? also apparently they confronted her and she called me a liar and i think they may believe her.

Glad to hear you care about her... So don't feel bad about telling her causin. All you can do is just letting her know that you will be ready to talk when she is ready to quit… there is really not much you can do except wait on the side line and observe…

Her dip shit boyfriend will eventually get caught (hopefully she is not there when it happens). It’s sad to know you can’t do much when it comes to intervention but meth will slowly but surely mess up their lives. The main point is being there for her when or if she decides to quit if you still care about her.

FYI- Meth users are liars 70%-100% of the time.

I'm doing a speech on the subject next tuesday and I need to find good reliable sources on the subject. Mainly what I need to find is information regarding manufacturing, addiction, treatment and prevention.

What also would really help me out is if any of you know about the specific policies for prevention in your states already in place and why you do or don't think they work.

And finally what do you think the government and people in general should do to prevent meth use and prosecute offenders?

in oregon if you get caught with an ounce or mre you fall in the category of it being a Measure 11. Wich means an automatic 60 months in prison with no good time or parol.... ouch!!

they have some of the harshest meth laws and meth addiction problems.

i believe the government need more men on the border of mexico due to the fact that 80% of the meth in this country gets smuggled in from there... that would be a start.

need information on how to properly submit a claim form to CA SDI in order to get help with Alcohol and drug addiction (meth).
Can this be an outpatient treatment??
Person is ready to go but needs to collect SDI to support his family during the treatment and recovery phases,

I haven't heard anyone do that... let me know if you're successful.
