Is there a drug that is given to ex-meth addicts in order to reverse the effects of their drug usage?

Nope, with recovering meth addicts, after detox, they are in a rehab facility and thru guidance and meetings they beat the addiction. Meds would be given for other side effects from the medication if needed.

PLEASE help, and please no smart allic comments. this is serious and i do needhelp
ps-i freakin no its the wrong section, there is no drug section

I think helping your mom get herself to rehab is more important than picking at her face. This is a difficult thing to do for somebody young like you and I feel sorry for adults who expose their children to drugs. Your mother is not a good role model for now. It is best to seek help from the authorities. I know this is not easy but you are helping yourself and your future which your mother does not care about.

My new man is an EX meth addict...what to do?

I am dating a new man, and he is a former Meth addidct. I have not done drugs like that and NEVER plan to. He talks about his "old life" all the time to try to impress me, and it bothers me that he still might think its fun, interesting or that it might be game. Its not, and its disgusting.
He used to live in Texas and to rid himself of the same friends and the 'circle' of friends he had he came to SD. He hangs out with his cousin who is his BFF and his cousin does some drugs and thinks its cool and recreational.
I do not like his cousin, he is overweight, does not have a car that runs (has had grandparents buy him 4 + cars, he takes them apart and doesn't finish them), he is totally compulsive, (thats why I mentioned the overweight thing), he is lazy can't hold a job. Has bad hygiene and is a threat to my mans recovery I think. He is so compulsive that I think he could cause my guy to get back into what he was doing.
I also think my man could be plaing up his involvement with the drugs, but I'll take him for his word when he talks about him because I don't know that part of his life.

His dad also does the drug and has already caused him to slip up 2 months after he got out of treatment.
So I don't want him seeing his pop. I just feel like he should steer clear of all of those people in his life...

Should I leave this up to him, can I say something without sounding like his mother... I am worried about him, and I want him to succeed but I don't want to be his Probation officer too.

He is a sweet man, has a lot to offer, but he is gullible, and will do whatever anyone tells him.

What can I say to let him know how I feel??
Should I be telling him who he can and cannot hang out with?

Should I introduce him to my friends and have him start up with them to create better people for him to sorround himself with?

When he drinks too he doesn't know when to cut himself off.

I'm almost staying because I'm worried for him and want to make sure he does OK, but I did make sure he knows that if he does it and relapses I'm gone.

I'll help the best I can.

It is extremely easy for addicts to relapse and for meth addicts specifically, it is EXPONENTIALLY easier for them to relapse. Meth is the hardest drug to get free of. Don't quote me but I think I saw a statistic that said only 8% of the people who try the stuff ever get off of it so if he does relapse, I'm thinking you should just flat out up and leave. Once they start back up, nothing good is going to happen.

If you want to say something to him, just be honest. Tell him that you're not in to that stuff and if he wants to keep a relationship with you, he better not do that at all. Hope that helps a little.

what vitamins can an ex crystal meth addict taket to restore and detox themselves?

All and every kind you can think of.Well.......not all. I would startwith b1 for the liver.I bet every single organ has been affected.Eat alot of fish. that is brain food. Are you going to stop the meth? no sence in trying to get better if your not stopping. may God be with you on your road to recovery.

Can anyone PERMANENTLY recover from being a meth addict?

can anyone actually PERMANENTLY recover from meth? Because i have not seen it once, my uncle and two aunts and sister and cousin are so bad on it, my uncle went to prison for 8 years for having a meth lab and he is using now more then ever. As for my two aunts, they have been in prison for 10 years and they go right back to it once they get out. My sister has been to rehab twice and even got clean for 4 years but is on it again. My cousin now has Hepatitus C from a bad drug needle & has life in prison and is dying in the jail hospital because he would not give up the drug. WHY do they keep doing this? If they get clean why do they always go right back to it? I no longer believe there is such thing as an ex meth addict. Ive seen alcoholics and other drug addicts overcome their addiction, but not meth. Why is this?

of course. my brother was a meth junkie for 20 yrs. alot of jail time, you name it, he began worshiping the lord jesus 5 yrs ago and has never looked back. with God, ALL things are possible!!!
