They say the biggest miracles come from the most unexpected of places. I have been addicted to injecting meth for almost 5 years. Its destroyed everything in my life, given me cancer and AIDS and even though I got back on my feet for awhile, its doing it again. I dont want to lose the precious love I have had returned to me in my life... my sweetest dog - Nitty Woos, my dedicated mother, or my best friend and most loyal of companions - Brad, or all the worldly but important things Ive earned back, such as my health or my car. Please, I cant stop using... Ive tried so hard. I dont want to die like this. I will give anything to find a way to never do it again, if only I could. If you are listening, God, please... take this burden from my soul and I will be free...

Rehab if it is possible...money can be an issue I know. Be 100% honest with those that you care about and that care about you. Surround yourself with love all the time. You can't trust yourself and no one else should either. Be with people all the time and let them know why. Find support in AA or NA or church or any other large group of people that can help to support you. My aunt and uncle go to AA and my aunt has assisted in quite a few around the clock watch sessions so that people can safely go through withdrawals and if something really wrong happens there are people there that can call 911. No one can beat addiction alone. I have never had to beat an addiction; however my whole life has been filled with addicts. There is help out there. It should like you have the inner drive to quit but as you already know it takes way more then that. I do have one addiction, smoking cigs. I couldn't quit if I wanted to. I have wanted to quit badly and I have never been able to successfully do it. It is minor compared to what you are talking about but I know what smoking has done to me and I have lost a lot of people I love to meth so I can sort of imagine.
Surround yourself with everyone that you love and the some. Have them watch you. And try the support groups, those people will understand you more then anyone else because they have been there.

Is the best way to fight street drugs that are injectable ,smokeable like heroin ,crack and meth is flood the streets with free marijuana so that there is no need to look for hard drugs.If the so called experts on drugs and drug addiction did not know that when there is no marijuana in the streets thats when people turn to powered drugs to get high to relax and become addicted to hell straight away .The biggest killer of people and addiction is pharmacy drugs made by drug companys that opens a door to people that become hard drug users?Do you think that people in the 1970s were addicted to hard drugs like people today as facts and figures say no?,

I am very worried about my brother. He is 21 and addicted to meth. or 'p' as know in N.Z... Our mother died in '95 and was an only child so no aunts or uncles and our dads in a different country- so it’s kind of fallen on me. It is really taking a toll on him; he isn’t the same person - lost a lot of weight and has sores from the scratching. He used to me very smart and healthy - would beat me in soccer and chess. Now doesn’t seem to think strait and fidgets alot. I have talked to him about this and told him he isn't going to last long like this - but I can't seem to agree to get help. Drug counselling or a re hab programme or something. If I push it too much I don't hear from him for ages. Got him into a mechanics class – but he dropped out . Got him a job interview but he thought he saw a mouse running around on the women’s desk so stuffed up the interview. Out of ideas !!!!!.

you cant make him want to quit.
But when things get bad enough, he will want to.
I dont know about things in NZ.
Here in the US you can force a person to go to treatment if they are a danger to themselves or others.
Using meth is considered dangerous to yourself....
Maybe your health system works like that?

I dunno, about the only thing I could recommend is calling the Narcotics Annonymous hotline, and asking if they have anyone there who is a recoved meth addict with some clean time that would be willing to talk to your brother.

Addicts can talk to each other in a way that only addicts can understand - and the way NA works, from what I understand, is that one addict helps another - and that is how the both of them stay clean.

i am a 36 year old female mother of a 16 year old girl, im in a 10 year relationship with a wonderful man, and i have a 13 year long meth addiction.
I WANT TO STOP!
i can't afford treatment, i know if i stopped using then i could afford it but stopping is kinda impossible without treatment. i don't qualify for state or county help and i can't do it on my own. my boyfriend is supporative of me seeking help and wants me to stop but doesn't know how to help me. i've tried to stop on my own but that didn't work. i know i'm an addict and i know i want to stop but the physical and mental addiction is to hard for me to beat by meself. not many people know that i use, i don't look like the typical "crankster", so its hard for me to ask around for help from friends.
if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate them, please only serious ones.

All you need is WILL POWER. If you want to stop using drugs then stop using drugs. Mind over matter.

I just cant stop! i nearly completely quit with water once but my sister got me hooked again. Then a couple years later i tried again and the very day i started, my mom fed me brussle sprouts and when i washed that crap down with water, i literally puked! Now i cant even look at water without getting woozy. HELP ME! ITS LIKE METH!!!!! I DRINK ABOUT 3 Aday.
Btw....NO JUICE!!! THATS WORSE THAN WATER!!!!!!!!

Okay here's an easy alternative that I used to do.

Buy a 2 liter of CLUB SODA. It's carbonated water. And it usually sells for less than a dollar. Then get any juice, the most important part is that you would enjoy the flavor.

I forgot the proportions but I think it was half a cup of club soda and half a cup of juice...but you can proportion it the way you want it to .

Mix gently and...

VOILA! An instant carbonated drink, healthy and delicious.
