So my girl has this addiction to Marijuana, and i would love to help her stop. she wants to stop too but she says, "I want to stop, I can't help it." so I've tried to talk her out of it but it just does'nt seem to be working. what can I do? and Is it possible that this is destroying my relationship with her?
you have to ask yourself - why is it that you want her to quit? does it change her personality while she's with you or have any negative effect on your relationship? or is it just the way that you perceive it as being wrong?
I would say if it doesn't affect your relationship, ie .. she's not to stoned to go out with you and your mates and doesn't act like a mongoloid, or not want sex as she's not in the mood, and it doesn't put her in danger then maybe don't be so hasty to encourage her to quit (unless she really wants to).
if she does want to quit then just give her positive feedback when you head out and she's more "with it" if she's more talkative, liveley say that you notice these things and enforce that her personality without the drug is something that you really enjoy and cherish. with some positive re-inforcement maybe she'll cut down and be able to cut it out all together.
Good luck man.

well i wanna no how to quit marijuana because its realy not that easy
i tried to stop for myself because i noticed im realy slow minded now
i cant even remember wat happnd last week not even a thing nd i wanna no how to clear my system nd how to detox all the weed out so i can be regular and sober is there any suggesstions on how to get my braincells back and any diet that helps me get braincells back to normal??
Stop the weed and when you are feeling 'slow' try doing some puzzles etc. It may take you a long time if you are unable to concentrate but you are keeping your mind active. Keep doing the puzzles and you should find yourself concentrating more once the weed is out of your body. Good luck
I have a baby with him whose almost a year old and even his sister told me to temporary leave him so he can stop...but that's playing with people's emotions and I am so confuse, can marijuana be an addiction anyways??? Should I try to work it out with him again or should I just call it quits because I know he won't change anymore and I don't want to change who he is...I just love him and cannot understand why if he loves he and knows it's hurting me inside cannot leave this behind....
you have a choice. you can either stay with him or ask him to choose between you and a plant. try being understanding but try to make him understand you aswell. if he chooses the plant your better off without him. dont waste your time, life is too short.

I know they say it doesn't form a true addiction, like heroin or other stuff. But since I stopped smoking marijuana over a year ago, I still want the stuff, like I can almost taste it. How do you make that stop?
I stopped because I had NO self-control; I was smoking the good stuff, as one person said, and smoking was all I did. I stopped cold turkey; but still I get these cravings for the stuff.
ima report you...I DID stop hanging around my loser pot smoking friends; now I have NO friends!
livi...most my my former pot-smoking buddies claimed to be Christians. You little cult is NOT the answer to everything.
It's a deep psychological addiction.
Try excercise, sports, hobbies, family, charity work.
Avoid friends who are a temptation.
Keep a positive attitude.
And good luck.
I was with a man for nearly a decade. After we had a child I was hoping he would cut out his marijuana habit as we'd discussed it in the past. I quit when I discovered I was pregnant and he cut back (and apparently hid it from me when he smoked thereafter). We'd had discussions about it in the past and I never thought it was going to be a life-long "lifestyle" and that we'd both grow out of it like our friends did overtime.
However when I started talking about how it might be a good idea for him to quit he became very resistant and said that I was trying to "control" him and that he liked living his life that way. He then made several comments, one that "would you rather I drink or smoke pot? Because if I don't smoke pot I know I'll drink more." And this is what alarmed me.
I thought, why does he need either? Then he grew increasingly distant and ultimately ended our relationship after nearly ten years, claiming that I wasn't accepting him for who he was. Although he says the pot was only part of it it really seemed to be the breaking point for him.
He's 34 and says he's not a "pot head" and that he just likes to "smoke pot recreationally a lot".
Do you think he's addicted and has a problem?
Yes it seems like he has an addictive personality, because he said he would drink if he couldn't smoke. He probably likes the out of mind feeling and is addicted to that rather then the actual pot!

How To bStop/b Smoking Pot - Tips to Quit bMarijuana/b
Many people who decided they want to quit marijuana have no idea where to begin. This article discusses some simple steps you can take to begin the journey of quitting marijuana. Take the first step and set a quit date, then write it down!
Set a Date to Stop Smoking Weed.
The purpose of setting a quit date, is to allow yourself to get mentally and physically prepared to quit smoking marijuana. Your quit date should be an actual date. It should not be when your stash runs out, or roughly a week before the next semester of school starts, or next month. It is important to nail down the date. In my personal experience, before I learned to set a date that I would stop, I used to smoke my stash as quickly as possible. I did this because I convinced myself that each bag was my last bag. When my bag ran out, I would buy another one, and smoke it just as quickly, convincing myself that it was also the last bag. Does this sound familiar? I recommend setting your quit date, within one month of the current date. If you wait any longer, you are less likely to follow through with your goal. It is a great idea to set your quit date just before a vacation begins, or other major event. Quitting Marijuana is a lifestyle change. If you attach it to another lifestyle change, you are more likely to be successful. Understand your Addiction.
Feature: Mexico and Argentina Enact Drug Decriminalization, US b.../b
In the last eight days, the decriminalization of drug possession has gone into effect for 150 million Latin Americans. Last Thursday, as part of a broader bill, Mexico (pop. 110 million) decriminalized the possession of small amounts of all drugs through the legislative process. Four days later, the Argentine Supreme Court declared unconstitutional that country's law criminalizing drug possession. While the Argentine case involved marijuana possession, the ruling clears the way for the government to draft a new law decriminalizing all drug possession.
The shift in policies toward drug users in the two countries is a dramatic indication of the seismic shift in drug policy already well underway in Latin America. Colombia's high court declared the law against drug possession unconstitutional in 1994. Brazil has had a version of decriminalization since 2006 -- users cannot be imprisoned, but can be forced into treatment, educational programs, or community service -- and Uruguay now allows judges to determine if someone in possession of drugs intended to use them or sell and to act accordingly. Movement toward decriminalization is also underway in Ecuador.
