I have a friend who's always gambling his money away. He's always thinking about gambling too. I think he's got a gambling addiction and I want to know how to find treatment centers that he can look into so that he'll get treated. However, I haven't convinced him to get himself treated yet. Any ideas?

Does anybody else know of your friend's gambling addiction? His parents, maybe? It might be easier to convince him if you do an intervention. Gather his closest friends and family members and make him see what he's doing to himself.

My brother's always gambling his money away. He incessantly asks our parents for money and then he just uses it so he could gamble. I'm doing a report on gambling for one of my classes and I would like to find more information regarding gambling addiction. I figured that since I don't know someone who is afflicted with such a disorder, I'd go directly to treatment centers so that I may interview a patient.

To find addiction treatment centers, just use the links below. You can also call up the local health services department and get a list of treatment centers from them. I don't think you'll get to interview patients, though. I think it's against the rules of treatment centers. They can be very strict regarding patients' privacy.
