gambling addict?
Some Like It Hot

anyone dealing with there partner being a Texas Hold'em addict? I feel sorry for you if you are because I'm going through this ONCE AGAIN with my boyfriend. I never really believed something like this actually existed. I surelly never figured it would happen to me. 4 nights a week, all night long. It has ruined us. I live with him and am totally crushed. It has completly changed him into a cold hearted selfish person. He's addicted to competition. Golf. pool. No big deal, but the texas hold'em has crushed our relationship. Anybody out there dealing w/ this? No smart a-- comments please?

I feel your pain. I myself deal poker in Vegas and i also play a fair amount but i never let it get in the way of my family. There has to be a balance between family and other activity's in your life. When i was younger all i did was play but i now see more value in family time, i play on my days off for 4-5 hours but the rest of the week is for my family, you just need to put your foot down and tell him that he needs to spend more time with you. I think it would be a mistake to tell him no poker at all, but just to cut it down.

Is Hillary a gambling addict at this point?
Horrendous spell in child care, four marriages, Steve the destroyer

Do you think she will blow her $100,000,000 to ultimately crap out?

Maybe she wants the Democrats to win no matter who the nominee is and knows at the very least Florida and Michigan need to be seated at the convention OR a revote to be held in order to support the voters from FL and MI.

Or maybe at this point they've gone so far it makes sense to get all of America a chance to vote, rather than just leave out 7 or 8 states left.

UK gambling addict sues William Hill bookmakers for £2million in lost bets. Whatever next?
Cornwall

Should William Hill be held liable? In English law, bets are not legally binding, so why should his losses be a legal matter? Surely he knew that you never see a bookie riding a bike! Most with any brains know there is only one winner.

His claim is on the grounds that they allowed him to open a new account to bet with, when he had self-excluded from a previous account.

My opinion is that he's trying it on. It's possible he identified a weakness in the IDing system at Will Hill (which would prevent linking his new account with his previous locked one), and is now attempting to exploit it to get back his losses.

I hope he loses the lot. Or at most, Will Hill have to pay for him to get some top quality counselling to overcome his addiction.

I played the Grosvenor £15.00 freezeout with a £5.00 headhunter chip (every person you knock out you get £5.00) well amazingly I came 3rd. I had begun to think that I just wouldn't cash in any poker comp again, but I did in this one. I won £40.00 plus another £10.00 for the two heads I got. I didn't have to pay for the £5.00 head chip because if you register before the competition starts you get that for free (which is a very good offer).
