how can i help my aunt out of a fast food addiction into a vegetarian food diet?
Kentucky Fried Children

It's really hard for her because she actually is addicted to fastfood and shes already mobidly obese . I don't want to see her get sick anymore and its bad for her children also . And she is willing to accept help from me but i'm only a teenager and i just want to inspire her to become healthy and happy.

Maybe have her take a look at what I eat?... Write this down babe...

I’m a Vegetarian and I’m super thin, and I always have a lot of protein, and I hate tofu loll ...and I have tons of snacks to choose from

I bareeeely work out ....and I’ve never had a belly, big thighs, or big butt SO Listen k? I'm pretty much perfect-its not cocky,i just am...

Walk Walk Walk! and walk some more...its actually better than running....running makes your ankles weak over time. Do you want that when your older? I don't think so. I actually do the bike, which is amazing...the faster you petal the more calories you burn....the belly is actually burning fat b/c you are sweating. Not a lot of ppl. know that walking on treadmill/bike/or walking outside burns fat around the mid section...but it is so true. ALSO IMPORTANT: Do not use incline k? b/c your thighs will get bigger...try little to no resistance!! :) Walking also will burn the extra surrounding fat that is covering muscles (underneath it)...so definitely do a lot of carido. Try sit ups too like 2 to 3 times a week to make abs show quicker!

Being a vegetarian or even one that eats red meat or dairy like ONCE IN AWHILE is the best to be one because you are healthy as a horse and you won't have that excess fat and food inside your intestines that most red meats do.

Look, alright, I’m not trying to promote becoming a vegetarian, but here me out k?

Here's what I eat and my protein is perfect and I'm super healthy and have tons of snacks to choose from

Having a high protein diet is good in loosing fat, because the more protein is in a food item the less total fat and calories from fat!

I eat lots of beans (Lima, Soy, red kidney, black, navy- RAW; never in can(but that is just my choice-if you wanted canned its NOOOO PROBLEM)

Try Quinoa too, you can find it in your grain, beans, or nut aisles

I also eat lots of salad with tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, carrots-yum yum!

The entire kosher aisle has manyyyy products to munch on!

Also, Some Kashi products are great to snack on!

Try Edamame too!- tons of protein and tastes delicious! (Veggie section even though it’s a bean loll)

Dairy (if you eat it): cheese-I'd suggest you go for this yogurt called "Fage 0" or "Chobani" yogurt (it has about 15 grams of protein in it I believe)... Ummm lets see, what else? Theres Goat cheese and ALL goat products which I consider to eat if my protein is too low (but that is rare b/c I usually get my protein in evvveryday.

ALL vegetables are fun and easy to cook-I like broccoli, asparagus, yams, pumpkin, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower-and you can do whatever you want with it (fry, boil, steam, baked...etc.)

Have you ever heard of Matzo's? they are crackers that have 4 grams of fat per serving (1) and only has 21 grams to 27 grams of Carbs in it depending on which version you get. BUT make sure you get the 100% whole wheat ones ya know?-just to be the healthiest. There is also absolutely no sugar in it either (sugar if not burned turns into fat btw)…..
The calories range from like 90 to 140 calories too! Oh, did I mention they are extremely delicious!? (Kosher aisle)

Mott’s applesauce, no added sugar is one of my favorite things to eat too!
You can find organic applesauce too which provide different flavors without added sugar
All “no added sugar” products are phenomenal

NOTE: BEEF, Oh my god -it is very bad for you and does not leave your intestine for months and months (look it up on internet...it’s the worse food for you-unless used in moderation and VERY VERY small portions)

Brown rice or even white rice is great too
Miso soups are fantastic as well as any other soups (especially the ones with very little sodium)

Fruit is ALWAYS a great snack at night!

Ok, that’s all I can think about now off the top of my head, if you need to know anymore then just message me k?

Take care

(I know I went on a rampage here, but I honestly hope this helps!)

How to Overcome Food Addictions Co-Dependency

My personal journey from a child Anorexic/Co-Dependent Person to a healthy and happy wife and mother of 3.

Is Food Addiction Real?
Your Kids are Getting High

I am 21, Female, 285lbs.

For as long as I remember I have overeat, binged, ate till I was sick...
Even as a child, my favorite thing to do was eat.
I was never satisfied with a little food. I had to have alot.
Everyone in my family is obiese.
I now eat emotionally.
When I eat...
I feel like I get a soothing feeling.
I feel like the need to binge is over...
Once I binge...
I just need some help and guidence...
I've tried OA.
It's not for me.
I can't take diet pills,
and I don't want surgery.
Please no negative comments.
I just wonder if it's something that others are going thru too?

I eat til im full up to my throat. Im the same way I eat all the time even if im not hungry...and that's why diet pills don't work for me. The only thing that has ever worked for me is exercise. Burn more calories than you consume. Remember a little workout is better than nothing just make sure the workout is at least 10min or more. The harder I exercise I tend to fill up faster and even sometime lose my appitite once in awhile. For extreme weight loss workout for an hour or more try finding a gym and trainer for motivation. Good luck:) Hope I helped and stay hydrated.

What is the essence of junk food?

For as long as I remember, as a child, junk food was a forbidden fruit. In fact now I'd consider it my first experience with controlled substance.

My parents... the governing hand. They stockpiled these delicious motivators as ammo against my unruly attempts to not eat my "greens", or finish my spelling homework, or to do my chores.

No my parents weren't that militant with the junk food, I wasn't a sugar junky either. But allow me to pose it that way to highlight the theory that this is where addiction begins.

Thats my opinion, what do you think?

Excellent theory.

As children we were often rewarded with food (candy, soda, brownies etc) instead of things like a few dollars to stash back for a special occasion, a movie night out with the folks, stickers, books and so on. So starting very young we are taught that we can't have something unless we are deserving, even something like junk food. When we get older are we subconsciously thinking that its okay to veg out or eat a bunch of crap because 'we deserve it'?

That could definitely be a possible factor in the obesity problem children have today. Food is meant for one purpose: To nourish the body as fuel for survival. Not to replace a hug or a 'good job' from the parents. Food is definitely a controlled substance. And I bet the most abused 'drug' in all of America.

What reasons are children taken from parents?

I live in australia and my friend was recently reported for neglect of her children by another friend. The authorities did nothing but I kinda feel they should of. The house is filthy - best decribed as a rubbish dump. She said because there was food - beds (filthy) and no drug addiction they could do nothing - is this right. What happens in other countries?

in the usa you can be taken away by not having food in the house

Children services?

I need some advice my sisters step daughter is a terrible mother she has a 8 yr old daughter that she abuses and neglects. The house is always dirty there is no food in the house she recieves food stamps but sells them to buy crack. She is 6 months pregnant but refuses to go to the doctor in fear of they will find crack in her system. Children services has been called out to the house and all they do is close the case. The little girl really needs to pulled out of the home she has already missed close to 40 days of school. Everything the child has the mother sells to feed her addiction. She even sells food straight out of the fridge. My question is what can be done to help this little girl since children services is obviously turning a blind eye to it? I am worried about her daughter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First, alert the Welfare office that you suspect Food Stamp Fraud (her selling them), next, don't stop calling CPS, also, write to your state representative and let them know you feel CPS isn't doing what they should. Then, go to the Family Court office and file an emergency custody order to get the child(ren) out of the home until everything can be thoroughly investigated. My suggestion is for everyone concerned to do all of this together and pool your money and hire a lawyer too. Good luck!
