Promise yourself
"I will not use the computer before six" or something like that, and you will be bound to find something better to do.

Has anyone else had trouble wasting tons of time online? I know I should just power down the computer. But I'll get on here to check my mail, and then look up one thing, and the next thing you know 3 hours have gone by. Anyone else have this problem?
i think you should just try going on for maybe an hour a day
or try finding something else to do that passes your time

I'm on there ALL day. I still have a social life but whenever I'm getting ready to go somewhere it takes me much longer because I'm on the computer. It's hard for me to do homework, my grades have slipped and its hard for me to get to bed because I'm always off the computer. How do I break my addiction??
Limit yourself.
Turn it off ~ put it away
wake up one day & don't turn it on until after 7pm or pick a day to not use it at all
My daughter spends too much time on the computer. She has no hobby.Im getting worried about what she goes on and what she does.Is there any progam where I can view what she goes on?But also,I also want her to spend more time studying or reading, and also lack of sleep. She's always up writing, what about? No clue. But,i dont want her to live like this. So,any ideas?
She is 10 years old.
she is 10? It is time to talk to her !why don't you communicate with her and ask her what she is up to? A young girl wants to be able to talk to her mother about things.
What are you going to do when she is a teenager? It is better to have an open, honest, relationship with her now, and build upon it . Because things will only get worse as she gets older.
You are the parent and in control. do not let her have this much freedom because it is dangerous. There are on-line predators that prey upon young kids. You need to protect her and make sure she is safe.
