Does anyone know of a drug treatment similar to suboxone but for cocaine addiction?



Not really. Although there have been some recent studies that show that taking a bicyclic antidepresent for the first 6-8 months after you stop using cocaine drops the relapse rate significantly.
I believe they had the best results with Venlafaxine. But it's my understanding that it is not yet well excepted in the medical field. I'd suggest doing a search for the studies, print them out and bring them to your doctor.

You're such a good friend. Keep supporting your Zach regarding his battle with cocaine addiction. I think there are treatment programs almost everywhere so there's probably one near Owyhee. How did you overcome crack cocaine addiction?

Looking for any information on how to successfully recover from crack cocaine addiction.
Personal experiences, public statistics, treatment referrals, resources sites, information on medication...any input is appreciated.


It is very difficult to do on your own. A very close person to me was a crack addict, has been to rehab more than once and it was the only way to make him stop for a while. He is off it now and I hope he stays that way. He used "Rivea" for a while, a medicine to block the receptors of cocaine effect and I think he was on anti-depressants too.
