My brother has been gobbling up way too much liquor for the past five months or so, and I'm terribly worried. His work has been badly affected by his alcoholism that he nearly got fired. I hope someone out there can lend a helping hand.

God bless and good luck.
addition:
If he has been drinking consistently and heavily the last thing he should do is stop on his own. This can be very dangerous. Get him to a hospital if you feel he needs to and will go. Otherwise, the first thing a treatment center will tell you is for him to take a drink if he feels he needs one. They will give him the proper medications to help him detox once he is there.

My father has been drinking too much alcohol lately, and I'm honestly alarmed. She developed the habit when my mother died two years ago. Please help me... :(

My mother really needs to get herself treated for her alcohol addiction. Ever since my brother died, she's never been back to her old self. I want so much to help her. Maybe if I find an addiction treatment center and do an alcohol intervention, maybe she'll consent to treatment. I just don't know where to start. Please help.
I've already included a list of treatment centers and rehabs that you could check out. You can call them and ask for their help for the intervention. Have you talked to your mom about her alcohol consumption? She probably has no idea how much this is affecting you. I'm sorry about your brother too, it must be hard.
You can also call a helpline, 800-559-9503 if you want to talk about this. You can also ask their assistance for finding the right addiction treatment center. Good luck! I sincerely hope your mother recovers soon.
I never really thought that someone so close to me would be suffering from alcohol addiction. It's my sister. I guess it was because we have always been brought up aware of the negative effects of alcohol that I never thought any one of my siblings would turn out to be an alcoholic. She's really different now, and I want her to go back to the way she once was. I wish to get her treated. How can I find treatment centers for her?
Does your sister want to get treated? If she doesn't want to, getting her treated may be a lot harder than it would be if she wants to get treated. You can convince her by doing an intervention. As for finding addiction treatment centers, this is pretty easy. You can ask a doctor or healthcare provider for some recommendations regarding treatment centers. You can also look through the links that I have attached below. These have lists of addiction treatment centers in the area you have specified. I really hope your sister gets to undergo treatment soon.
