I know that it has to do w/ that fact that the States and cities make a ton of money on gambling, but i think they should be putting more money into treating the addiction.
It makes no difference that there's a substance involved in drugs or alcohol. The public doesn't realize that. The addiction is the part where you get high, whether it's from alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

Because, alcohol and drugs are substances....gambling is an action.....
Substances are more related to health issues than activities themselves...

Me being a doctor i would say that alcohol/drugs are worse than gambling. Yet if I wasn't a doctor I would say that gambling is worse because while you can end an alcohol/drug addiction with help over a few months. It could take years to come out of financial troubles surrounding a gambling addiction. So I am going to say that they are equally bad but gambling could affect you financially for the rest of your life and alcohol/drugs could kill you in a matter of moments.

I am 43 and she is 39....And I just need something to read to help me cope with the problems that come with her addictions....She still my little sister and I love her..and I don't want to lose her.

No that's is not true it does say tho that you have a addictive personality and have to stay clear of temptation
