Should clients that I work with know this fact about me?
the agency that I work for have just (this week) announced that they don't want people to disclose. When asked why the manager stone walled and said it's policy if you don't like it leave. Sadly I wasn't there when this was said (on holiday) look forward to meeting her next week
You bet you should. Why? For one thing when you disclose that to clients then they understand that you know what they are going through and have a chance to recover using you as an example of that.

My brother says he can't change the fact that he is gay but I think he is using that as a cop out like drug users or alcoholics who say they can't quit. I know he can quit if he really wanted to. I want nephews and nieces and he should know that being gay is wrong and a terrible addiction he has that he needs to stop.
I don't want to cause you no pain but if your bro was born gay then he likes it that way..he will only get deeper into that homosexual lifestyle if he hasn't already...now there is a brighter side to your worry but only if he picked up his gayness growing up...then there is the possibility that he can change his ways back to a heterosexual lifestyle..but that is no promise that he will marry a female and have children
..and homosexuality in itself is not an addiction for your bro if he was born gay..it's the waking up and living another day just to look forward to hanging out, loving, romancing and playing sexually with another male..that would be where addiction would come into play...I suggest introducing your bro to a sexy voluptuous mature adult heterosexual woman with a heart of gold, who will help you and maybe get your bro to reconsider his gay ways..if they can be changed that should do it~peace
I have been suffering from alcohol addiction for such a long time now. I have even lost some of my friends because of this. I now realize that drowning my sorrows in alcohol won't do me any good. In fact, it has made me worse off. I would now like to get myself treated for my addiction. How am I going to find rehabs, though?
Congratulations! At least you have already taken the first step towards recovery-- acceptance of the fact that there is a problem. I'm glad that you have realized that alcohol won't do you any good. To find alcohol rehabs, just use the links below. You can also consult and get recommendations from a doctor and you can also join AA to complement your treatment program.

Is there nothing worse than an alcoholic who gives up his alcohol addiction and takes on a Jesus addiction lecturing you about the evils of drinking that 12 ounce can of Miller Lite beer? In other words, a guy who couldn't handle himself getting all preachy with you, someone who can?
Will fundies ever grasp the fact that many, many, many people get it right the first time without their precious imaginary god or son of god?
Yes. AA is extremely religious. They have a tendency to do just that - get people to swap one addiction for the other. Very annoying!
I know that it has to do w/ that fact that the States and cities make a ton of money on gambling, but i think they should be putting more money into treating the addiction.
It makes no difference that there's a substance involved in drugs or alcohol. The public doesn't realize that. The addiction is the part where you get high, whether it's from alcohol, drugs, or gambling.
Because, alcohol and drugs are substances....gambling is an action.....
Substances are more related to health issues than activities themselves...
