We were given out a bunch of questions in class and we're supposed to ask people what they would do in certain situations. Pretend that you're someone whose husband/wife is an alcohol/drug addict. What would you do?
If my wife is an alcohol/drug addict, I'd do what I can to help her gain back her life before she started being dependent on those substances. I'll make sure that I'm there for her every step of the way. I'll consult doctors or addiction treatment centers to get professional help. I'll also want to participate in her therapy sessions so that it'll be easier for her to get her life back on track and we will be able to strengthen our relationship more.
I need to interview a certified addiction counselor, to write a paper for my drug and alcohol class. I'm studying to be a clinical psychologist.
